About the Section

The Goethe A2 Speaking module (Sprechen) takes approximately 15 minutes for 2 participants and tests your ability to communicate in everyday German situations. The exam is conducted with a partner and consists of three interactive parts.

Total duration: 15 mins total

Teil 1: Asking & Answering Questions (Fragen stellen und beantworten)

• Each candidate draws 4 cards and has ~20 seconds to look at them

• Your partner cannot see your cards

Teil 2: Presenting About Your Life (Über das eigene Leben erzählen)

• Examiner gives both candidates a task card simultaneously

• You have ~20 seconds to read and prepare

• Each candidate receives a sheet with different prompts/suggestions

• You have ~20 seconds to read (you cannot see your partner's sheet)
